ARTIST & REPERTOIRE: DEMO SUBMISSIONS

We are always looking for new music and new artists. We sign bands we feel passionate about and not for any other reason. If the music moves us, we want to be a part of it and help spread it around the world. We want to work with bands that know what it means to tour and understand what it takes to be great. We want bands that have relationships with their fans and will do anything it takes to get to the next town to spread the word. If you make shitty albums with one good single don't come to us. If you make amazing music with or without singles we want to hear from you.

We recieve many submissions every month. All are listened to, but only a few are listened from beginning till end, and only a very, very low percentage of the tapes lead to a recording deal.

If this hasn’t turned you off, then follow these instructions:

1. Make sure your demo songs are of good quality, but also make sure that you’ve got good songs. One good song with bad sound quality is worth more than 20 mediocre songs with superb sound quality!

2. Pick your best song, and make it the first track of your demo. In most cases we can only spare time to listen for the first one or two songs of a demo, so do keep you demos short and make your best songs the first tracks of your CDs!

3. If the demo isn’t already on a CD, burn the demo onto a CD-R. We only accept CDs, CD-Rs or Mp3s. No minidiscs, cassettes or vinyls! If you send Mp3s, send them directly to us at: info@razaricerecords.com DO NOT send us a link to your website, we will not go hunting for your songs. DO NOT send us to your MySpace page to check out your songs. Show you care and put some effort into it.

4. Write a short biography of your band. The biography must at least include your complete contact information (e-mail address, telephone number, mailing address, your website address if you have one), details about the genre of your music and details of your band’s lineup. The better looking the package the better a chance you will get noticed.

5. Take a photograph of your band. Include the photo in your biography-sheet if you so wish.

6. Since we do get quite a lot of demos, it never hurts to make your package stand out of the crowd. If you can make your package look special, or if your package includes something extra such as a good press-kit or a video of your band, you will inevitably draw extra attention (we are, however, quite a small company, so it really is not necessary to send us five copies of your demo, one is more than enough!).

7. Send the CD or CD-R together with the biography, photographs, video, etc.

Once you’ve sent us your demo, all you can do is cross your fingers and hope for the best. Although we'd like to answer each and every demo sender individually, we simply do not have the time to do so.

If we like your demo and want to sign your band, we will contact you. If we do not wish to sign you, we will stay absolutely silent.

Calling or e-mailing us in hope of a faster answer won’t do you or us any good, it will just slow things down even more. Don’t call us, we'll call you!

Bringing the demos personally to our office won’t do any good either, there is simply no possibility for arranging any "listening sessions", no matter how good your demo is. Nope, Nada, Not gonna happen!

We also can not, and will not send any material back to you.

Still up to it? Good!

Then off you go and send us your package!
